This weekend and the start of next week will be cloudy and rainy, with a possibility of thunderstorms. Air temperature at night will remain at +10° C… +16° C across the week, whereas daytime air temperature will be around +20° C, as reported by by Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Friday, 8 July, the amount of clouds will be volatile. The wind will blow from the south. Minimal night-time air temperature will be +10° C… +17° C. Daytime air temperature will reach +18° C… +22° C.
On Friday there will be local rainfall both at night and during the day mostly in western parts of the country. The possibility of thunderstorms also remains. Heavy rain is expected as well.
On Saturday the amount of clouds will be volatile. Precipitation is expected, as well as local thunderstorms.
Slow south-western and western winds will blow, which are expected to be stronger along the coast. At night air temperature will be +10° C… +17° C, whereas during the day air temperature will reach +19° C… +22° C.
On the night to Sunday eastern parts of the country will experience cloudy weather with short-term precipitation. Western parts of the country will experience clear weather. During the day the amount of clouds will be volatile, with some rain in many places. Daytime air temperature will reach +18° C… +22° C.
Next week most of the precipitation will be observed in eastern parts of the country.
On Tuesday the amount of clouds will increase in the country. Forecasts report that a new cyclone will approach Latvia from the south, bringing rain to many parts of the country.
According to current forecasts, in the second half of the week many parts of the country will experience rainfall. The wind will remain moderate and will blow from the west. Air temperature both at night and during the day will remain the same across the week. Air temperature will reach +26 C on Wednesday.
