The beginning of the week will remain under influence from an active cyclone. The amount of clouds in the sky will be volatile. Rainfall is expected on the night to Monday, the 4th of November. During the day there will be only local showers. Wet snow and snow will appear in eastern parts of the country, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday, the 5th of November, precipitation will be observed only in eastern parts of the country. Motorists should pay attention and be careful on roads at night and in morning hours, as ice may form on roads, making them slippery!
On Monday the wind will blow from the north and north-west, reaching a speed of 17-22 m/sec at night and up to 25 m/sec along the coast. As the cyclone passes, however, wind speed will go down. On Tuesday, wind speed will be low. Some gusts are expected along the coast. Air temperature at night will only reach -2° C… +4° C (+4° C… +8° C along the coast).
Daytime air temperature will reach +6° C… +10° C. On Tuesday air temperature in eastern parts of the country will not exceed +3° C… +5° C.
From the middle of the week onward an anticyclone will move in from the south and south-west. This anticyclone will remain until the end of the week.
This means weather will be dry and calm. Warmer masses of air will flow to the country, making nights and days relatively warm. Air temperature during the day will reach +8° C… +12° C and will not drop below +4° C at night. Only the night to Friday will be slightly colder.
