Wednesday’s new Covid-19 cases in Baltics

A total of 11 425 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Wednesday, February 16. 20 people have died in the Baltic country, of them 12 were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination course and eight were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 8,439 new cases were found in Estonia the last 24 hours. 288 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals.
2,139 people have died from the virus in Estonia so far.

The latest data from Lithuania added 9,856 new cases of coronavirus infections. 1,646 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,200 people.
Returning to Latvia, 24,550 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 46.5%. A total of 5,061 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 396,904 have recovered from the disease.
