The weather on Thursday will be partly cloudy. At night, central regions will see snow and wet snow, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
With slow wind, fog will appear at night and in the morning. Minimal air temperature will be -2° C… -7° C in western regions and -13° C… -18° C in eastern regions. During the day, air temperature will reach -1° C… +2° C (-1° C… -4° C in eastern parts of Latvia).
On Friday there will be clouds that will bring some snow at night. On the weekend, however, atmospheric pressure will go up, bringing about dry and sunny weather. The wind will blow from the south and south-east. Wind speed will reach 15 m/sec along the coast on the night to Saturday.
Warmer masses of air will gradually flow to the country, causing the snow in Latvia to melt. Frost will remain in most of the country at night. However, air temperature will fluctuate at around 0° C in coastal and western regions.
At the beginning of next week, positive air temperature is expected at night as well. More intensive and longer lasting precipitation is expected as well.
