On Tuesday, the 2nd of January, multiple trains in Skulte’s direction were cancelled due to technical difficulties. The train from Sigulda is running late as well, according to information published by Pasažieru vilciens (PV).
The Saulkrasti (6:29)-Riga (7:29), Riga (7:43)-Carnikava (8:23), Carnikava (8:50)-Riga (9:29), as well as Saulkrasti (8:39)-Riga (9:39) trains were cancelled on Tuesday due to technical difficulties.
PV also reports that Saulkrasti (7:29)-Riga (8:29) was cancelled on the Carnikava-Riga route. The Skulte (6:50)-Riga (7:59) train stands on the train station in Carnikava. The train is approximately 70 minutes late.
The company also reports that the Skulte (7:50)-Riga (8.59) train stands at the train station in Lilaste. The expected delay is 30 minutes.
The train headed on Sigulda (8:06)-Riga (9:17) route was delayed by more than 40 minutes due to technical difficulties.
In nine months of 2023, PV turnover was EUR 44.256 million, which is 19.2% more when compared to the same period of the year before. The company’s profits went down by 21% to EUR 458 074.
PV was founded in 2001, with passenger-carrying functions separated from Latvian Railway state company. Previously PV was 100% subsidiary of Latvian Railway, but in October 2008 it was remade into a state company.
