VIDEO | Viktor Orbán says only Trump can save the West

On Tuesday, the 29th of August, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told controversial American TV host Tucker Carlson that there is no way that Ukraine will win the war against Russia and that Donald Trump is the sole hope for Western world, reports Politico.
In the interview, Orbán said that Kyiv’s triumph against Moscow “is not just a misunderstanding. It is a lie. It is impossible. […] Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers die every day […] [Ukrainians] will run out earlier […] of soldiers than the Russians.

What finally will count is the boots on the ground, and the Russians are far stronger. Far numerous. […]”

He also does not believe that the Russians will get tired of President Vladimir Putin, and he said the Russian people will protect their leader.
Regards Ukraine’s admission in NATO, Orbán said that “we missed a historic opportunity” to admit Ukraine to NATO, pointing out that Russia is becoming more powerful. He added that

admitting Ukraine to NATO currently is not realistic, so we should forget about it.

Carlson also asked what he would do in the place of US President Joe Biden. Orbán replied: “Call back Trump! Because, you know,

you can criticise him for many reasons […] but […] the best foreign policy of the recent several decades belongs to him.”

Orbán stated that Trump refrained from initiating any new conflicts, maintained friendly relations with North Korea, Russia, and even China. Orbán speculated that if Trump had been in office during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the invasion might not have occurred.
Hungarian PM added that

“Trump is the man who can save the Western world” and the entire human race.
