On Thursday and Friday, the sun will alternate with clouds. In some eastern areas, short periods of rain are expected, along with isolated thunderstorms, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
With light winds, fog will form at night and in the early morning in certain regions, significantly reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +12…+17°C, while daytime highs will reach +22…+26°C. Along the Gulf of Riga coast, however, daytime temperatures will remain cooler, at +19…+22°C.
Saturday will bring mostly cloudy skies, though some areas will clear. Rain is expected at night in the south, spreading across much of the country during the day, including heavy thunderstorms in places. Fog may form overnight and early morning. Winds will generally be light, but could suddenly strengthen to 15 m/s in thunderstorms. Night temperatures will range from +13…+16°C, with daytime highs climbing to +22…+27°C. The Kurzeme coast will be cooler, at just +19…+21°C.
Sunday and early next week will bring variable conditions – occasional sunshine between clouds, but also rain in some places, with possible thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +12…+17°C, while days will remain warm, reaching up to +26°C in the east.
