Ukraine prepares to increase exports of electricity to the European Union, as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his video speech.
«We are preparing to increase our electricity exports to consumers in the European Union. Our exports would not only allow us to increase our income in foreign currency but will also help our partners to resist Russian energy pressure,» said Zelenskyy.
The Ukrainian president said authorities are gradually making Ukraine one of Europe’s guarantees for energy security.
Ukraine’s income from exports of electricity to Europe have already exceeded EUR 13.3 million in the first 27 days since the start of exports. Export is done using the cross-border connection with Romania and Slovakia.
