On Tuesday and Wednesday, cloud cover will vary across the country. While Tuesday is expected to pass without precipitation, some rainfall is forecast for parts of Latvia on Wednesday, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the night leading into Tuesday, fog may form in some areas. Nighttime temperatures will range from +6°C to +12°C. During the day, air temperatures will rise to +18°C to +23°C across most of the country, although it will be slightly cooler along parts of the coast.
At midday and in the afternoon, UV radiation levels will be moderately high when the sun is shining, and meteorologists advise avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
The second half of the week is expected to be wetter, with several precipitation zones crossing the country and bringing rain to many areas.
Heavier rainfall is forecast in the eastern part of Latvia. Rain is expected almost nationwide on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday it will gradually ease, remaining only in the eastern regions by daytime.
Winds will stay light, although in some coastal areas they will shift from the west and strengthen to a moderate breeze. Nighttime temperatures will remain similar, with no frost expected. Daytime temperatures will range between +12°C and +18°C.
