On Tuesday, cloud cover will vary, and in many areas it will bring short periods of rain – in some places heavy, and locally even very heavy downpours with thunderstorms. Winds will be light to moderate from the west, but gusty during thunderstorms. Maximum air temperatures are expected to range between +13°C and +17°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Wednesday and Thursday, rainfall is expected only in some areas, although locally in central regions during the night to Wednesday, heavy downpours and thunderstorms are possible. However, these will be the driest days of the week, as by the weekend, rain will again affect most of the country. Winds will be light to moderate. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +4…+10°C inland, +11…+14°C along the coast, while daytime temperatures will reach +16…+22°C.
In the second half of the week, a warmer air mass will flow into Latvia, and in some areas, daytime temperatures will rise to +20°C, locally even up to +26°C. Rain and isolated thunderstorms are also expected during these days. At the beginning of next week, similar weather conditions will persist, although air temperatures will gradually decrease.
