The Child Protection Centre invites parents to be more responsible for their children, and society to be more vigilant and helpful if they see a child in need of help.
The centre’s leading expert Simona Saule notes that children under the age of seven have to be under constant parental supervision to prevent any risks of accidents. A parent’s primary duty is ensuring the welfare of their child and prevent risks that could threaten the child.
There are no “other” children in society, the centre stresses, inviting residents to pay attention to what is happening around us and report suspicious situations to proper authorities.
