Sunny and dry weather is forecast for Tuesday, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. A light to moderate southerly wind will blow. During the night into Tuesday, temperatures across most of Latvia will fall to +1…–4°C. During the day, with bright sunshine, the air will warm to +9…+14°C, while in some parts of Latgale and along the coast temperatures will reach +7…+9°C.
On Wednesday night, skies will be clear, but from the morning cloud cover will gradually increase from the west. Despite the clouds, the weather will remain dry. Winds will stay light from the south and south-west. Night-time temperatures will range between –2…+2°C, while during the day they will reach +7…+11°C, though it will be cooler along the coast and in Kurzeme, where temperatures will be +4…+6°C.
On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy, and brief rain showers are expected in many areas.
A light to moderate southerly wind will continue to blow. Night-time temperatures will drop to 0…+4°C, while daytime temperatures will range between +9…+13°C, and +4…+9°C along the coast and in Kurzeme.
Towards the end of the week, temperatures will remain above zero both at night and during the day. Precipitation is expected, and winds will become more gusty. Over the weekend, a warmer air mass will move into Latvia, and in some areas temperatures may reach +15°C.
