On Thursday and Friday this week, the sky will be mostly cloudy with moments of clear sky, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Precipitation is expected at times – mostly snow and wet snow. On Thursday, the 5th of December, some areas may see a 1-4 cm thick layer of snow. Motorists are warned to be careful, as sections of roads will become slippery and visibility go bad! The wind will blow from the east and south-east. Minimal air temperature at night will stay at +1° C… -4° C, whereas daytime air temperature will reach only -2° C… +2° C.
Weather conditions will not change much on the weekend – the sky will be covered in clouds, snow and wet snow will come to some areas. Certain roads will become iced over. Nevertheless, the air will become slightly warmer – air temperature at night will not drop below 0° C, whereas daytime air temperature will reach 0° C… +3° C.
