Russia suffers substantial losses at Vuhledar

Russia continues its attacks on the Ukrainian defense lines, and the reports suggest that the entire Russian 155th infantry brigade could have been destroyed in the attack on Vuhledar, writes Politico.
Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi, a spokesman for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told Politico: «A large number of enemy forces, including the command staff, were destroyed near Vuhledar and Mariinka in Donetsk Oblast. In addition, over the past week, the enemy lost about 130 units of equipment, including 36 units of tanks.» According to him, the Russian army is losing 150 – 300 soldiers in a day near Vuhledar.
The US Institute for the Study of War says in its latest report that Russia’s tactical failures at Vuhledar are likely to have further eroded the faith of Russian ultranationalists in Moscow’s ability to launch a decisive attack.
Ukrainian marines have released a video showing Russian soldiers panicking on the battlefield near Vuhledar.

In the video, Ukrainian artilleryman comments on the Russian approach to the city: «Gosh, the first column went there and blew up, and then the second one went exactly the same route.»

Dmytrashkivskyi pointed out that the composition of the 155th brigade is changed three times already, and in the battles near Vuhledar, it has actually been destroyed again.
The defeat came just days after Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported a successful attack in the vicinity of Vuhledar.
Igor Girkin, a former employee of the Russian special services, called the Russian generals «complete morons who do not learn from their mistakes». On his Telegram channel, Girgin, confirmed that Moscow’s forces near Vuhledar were moving along small roads with columns of tanks and motorized vehicles and, as a result, were crowded in narrow places. He wrote that many soldiers were lost, and the Ukrainians used the situation as a shooting range. Girkin described the loss at Vuhledar as the end of the Russian army’s offensive along the Donetsk front.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are in no rush to celebrate the victory as Russian forces continue to attack. Dmytrashkivskyi stated that he is waiting for the delivery of weapons as fast as possible to repel the enemy from the territory of Ukraine.
