Russia imitates missile attacks on Estonia during military drills

Russia has started military drills, imitating missile attacks on Estonia’s territory, liga.net reports with reference to information from Estonia Ministry of Defence.
The ministry notes that Russia’s provocative behaviour on the border increased on the eve of NATO summit, which is scheduled to take place in Madrid next week.
As it is known, this isn’t the first such incident in recent time – Russian military helicopter Mi-8 entered Estonia’s air space in the evening on Saturday, 18 June.
The helicopter spend approximately two minutes in the air above Koidula region in Estonia’s south-east close to the border with Russia, as mentioned in the 21 June report from Estonian Ministry of Defence.
Although this is a rare event for Estonia, Lithuanian Ministry of Defence reports that Russian military aircraft breach the country’s air space every week without coordinated flight plans and with transponders switched off. Last week there were eight such incidents and 13 the week before.
Last month a Russian helicopter was detected in Finnish air space.
