Last year, Riga Stradins University (RSU) revenue reached EUR 106.2 million, which is 4.8% more when compared to 2022, as reported by RSU.
The university’s volume of investments in 2023 reached EUR 100.1 million, which is 4.5% more than the year prior.
Expenses on staff remuneration went up by EUR 4.3 million or 11% last year.
RSU finances scientific work from its own budget. State financing of science is very low, RSU notes. State funding provided to RSU for its scientific pursuits was EUR 2.6 million last year.
The budget approved for 2024 includes priorities like science and infrastructure development, as well as review of staff remuneration. RSU plans to continue developing existing and new study programmes and courses.
Gained revenue will be mainly diverted towards financing science, as well as studies, IT and university’s sports.
