Rain, thunder, and hail: meteorologists issue warnings for all of Latvia

On Thursday and Friday, the skies will mostly be cloudy, with only occasional clear spells. Rain is expected throughout the entire country, with some areas also experiencing thunderstorms, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

As rain clouds continue to form, certain regions can expect heavy downpours, and hail is also possible. Winds will be light, so during the night, fog may form in many areas across the country, significantly reducing visibility. Nighttime air temperatures will drop to between +15°C and +19°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to between +20°C and +25°C.

Just like at the beginning of the week,

weekend weather will continue to be influenced by cyclonic activity,

resulting in daily rain showers and rumbles of thunder in parts of Latvia—mostly during daylight hours.

With light winds, fog may also thicken during the night and early morning hours. Nighttime temperatures will remain above +15°C, while daily maximums are expected to stay within the +21°C to +26°C range. Similarly dynamic weather conditions are expected next week as well.
