This week Latvia is expected to have volatile weather: there will be dry days, rainy days and windy days. Air temperature will gradually increase – at the beginning of the week night-time air temperature will gradually increase. Air temperature at night will stay above 0° C and daytime air temperature will increase to +8° C… +13° C, according to Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Monday, 25 October, weather will be dry and sunny. Warmer masses of air will flow to the country and air temperature will reach +7° C… +11° C. The wind will blow from the south and south-west. Wind speed may reach 15 m/sec along the coast.
The wind will calm down on the night to Tuesday. Weather will become largely cloudy and dry. A precipitation zone will reach Latvia from the west around evening. Air temperature at night and during the day will not change.
In the middle of the week cyclone activity from the north will increase. Weather will become rainier and windier – most of Latvia will experience showers.
The wind will blow from the south-west. In many parts of Latvia wind speed will reach 15 m/sec (18 m/sec along the coast).
Air temperature at night will stay above 0° C – on the night to Wednesday air temperature will drop to +3° C… +9° C. In the second half of the week, according to current forecasts, will reach +7° C… +13° C during the day, as reported by meteorologists.
According to forecasts, the rain will calm down close to the end of the week. Wind speed will be slow. This means the end of October will be sunny and warm.
