On Thursday and Friday, the 7th and 8th of August, clouds will bring rain in some areas both at night and during the day, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the night on Thursday, it will rain briefly in many places, but during the day mainly in the central and eastern regions, and thunder will also rumble in some places. There will also be rain clouds in the sky on Friday. The air temperature during the dark hours of the day will mostly be within the range of +10…+15 degrees, but during the day the thermometer will rise to +17…+22 degrees.
A southwesterly, westerly wind will blow, which will gradually subside in coastal areas
on the night of Thursday, and during the day it will blow slowly to moderately throughout the country.
During the holidays and also at the beginning of next week, new precipitation zones will continue to cross the country’s territory for some time, and a slow wind will prevail. The maximum air temperature during the day will not be higher than +23 degrees. Current forecasts indicate that from Tuesday the intensity of precipitation could decrease, atmospheric pressure increase, and the sun will shine more often.
