PHOTO | Latvian residents offered to purchase plants confiscated from criminals

Latvian Provision State Agency (NVA) has announced the sale of evidence previously confiscated in a criminal case, offering residents to purchase various potted plants, as LETA was informed by NVA.

The total number of plants on sale is 74 990. The sale price is EUR 9 173.

It is possible to acquire the property on sale in parts. The photos released by the agency show plants like anthuriums and orchids, Ficus benjamina, arrowroot, calamondins, and others.

It will not be allowed to purchase individual plants, however. They will be sold in packages.

The plants in question were taken from a criminal procedure investigated by the Tax and Customs Police.

In case the new plant owner wants to distribute the plants to other end users – at his point of sale or on the market, in the amateur market, the listed plants do not need plant passports, nor do they need to register in the Official Register of Professional Operators of the State Plant Protection Service.

However, if the tenderer wishes to deliver them to a shop or greening company or other merchant, he or she must register with the Official Register of Professional Operators of the State Plant Protection Service and attach plant passports to the plants.

Offer submission will remain open until the 21st of October.
