Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has introduced a new feature on its website allowing passengers to change their flight dates via the “My Booking” section, the airline has announced.
Passengers flying with airBaltic and whose ticket numbers start with 657 can now change their flight dates at any time without needing to contact the customer service center.
The new digital self-service tool provides information about available flights, ticket price differences, and date change fees, depending on the fare conditions of the purchased ticket.
By automating the process of flight changes, airBaltic expects to handle around 4 500 date change requests per month without manual intervention, thus saving resources and reducing customer wait times.
Laura Vecvanaga-Puķīte, Senior Vice President of Customer Service and Ground Operations at airBaltic, emphasized that flexibility is important to passengers. By automating flight date changes and offering digital support, the airline will not only reduce staff workload but also give passengers more control over managing their travel plans.
