On Wednesday and Thursday, precipitation is expected only in some areas. Compared with previous days, these will be the driest days of the week, as by the weekend most of the country will again see rain, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Winds will be mostly light. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +4…+10°C inland and +10…+13°C along the coast. In the second half of the week, a warmer air mass will reach Latvia – on Wednesday, daytime temperatures will rise to +15…+20°C, and on Thursday to +19…+23°C.
By the end of the week, a new cyclone will approach the country, bringing rain and local thunderstorms. However, the air mass over Latvia will remain warm, with Saturday expected to be the warmest day of the week – in Latgale, temperatures may reach up to +25°C.
At the beginning of next week, similar weather conditions will continue, but air temperatures will gradually decrease.
