With the centre of a small cyclone being above Latvia it will continue to rain in many places in the country on the weekend. Precipitation will gradually calm down by mid-Sunday. On Saturday the wind will be slow to moderate. Along the coast the wind will blow from the western side. In eastern parts of Latvia the wind will blow from the east. On Sunday the wind will gradually start blowing from the north. At night air temperature will drop to +8° C… +11° C, whereas daytime air temperature is expected at +9° C… +14° C, according to Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The new work week will start with dry weather and more clear sky. With clear sky night-time air temperature will drop to +5° C… +9° C. Daytime air temperature will not go higher than +13° C… +18° C.
According to current forecasts, from Wednesday onward weather will become volatile. Many areas will experience short rain showers, but no strong rainfall is expected. It will gradually become warmer, but no summer warmth is expected yet.
