Even though the end of May and start of June had large volume of precipitation, on Friday, 3 June, the cyclone that brought the precipitation will start losing its influence and an anticyclone will become stronger, according to Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Friday weather will be dictated by the southern portion of a wide cyclone. The day will be cloudy with moments of clear sky. At times and at night there is a possibility of short-term rain. The wind will blow from the south and south-west. At night the wind will be strong along the coast.
Night-time air temperature will be at +7° C… +11° C, whereas daytime air temperature will reach +13° C… +18° C.
On the night to Saturday a new anticyclone will approach from the south. Atmospheric pressure will increase and clouds will gradually disperse. Little precipitation is expected. Some regions, mainly in the east, may experience short-term rain. The wind will be slow during the day and will blow from the south.
At the end of the week air temperature at night will drop to +8° C… +11° C, whereas daytime air temperature is expected at +16° C… +21° C (+15° C… +17° C along the coast).
Next week anticyclone activity will increase. Weather is expected to be dry and warm, according to LVĢMC. On Monday some precipitation is expected. The wind will be slow. At night minimal air temperature will be at +9° C… +11° C, whereas daytime air temperature will reach +17° C… +21° C (+13° C… +16° C along the coast).
