In the Zaporozhie region of Ukraine Russian occupants threaten locals with introduction of death penalty, said mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov in an interview to Ukraina 24 TV channel.
According to him, Russian TV propaganda channels frequently mention invitations to adopt the death penalty, as reported by liga.net.
«Russians failed to take our region four months ago. This is why they are now exacting genocide against Ukrainian nation,» he said.
According to him, during occupation in Melitopol alone more than 50 000 people have been kidnapped. ‘This does not help Russian occupants – it only increases resistance,’ stresses the mayor. According to him this is why there is talk of introducing the death penalty.
