Lithuania to US: Aggression has to be stopped in Ukraine

In Lithuania, on Monday, March 7, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, began his tour of visiting the Baltic states. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has said to him that if Russia’s aggression will not be stopped in Ukraine, a larger conflict is possible, British-Canadian news agency Reuters reports.
Speaking on behalf of the NATO member state, which has helped Ukraine and its refuges since Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24, Nauseda said Russian leader Vladimir Putin «will not stop in Ukraine» and that the world had an obligation to help Ukrainians «by all means available.»

Blinken has said staff of the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius that Russia’s attack on Ukraine challenged the underlying principles designed to keep the peace between nations. «It’s important that people understand what’s actually at stake and it goes beyond even Ukraine, beyond even the Baltic countries, beyond even Europe,» the US top diplomat said, as quoted by Reuters.
