LDz Cargo, a subsidiary of Latvian Railway, will sell 47 freight cars at an initial price of EUR 220 000 during an auction organised this December, as stated in the announcement published in the Latvian Herald.
The announcement mentions that the freight cars on sale were excluded from the company’s inventory, except for certain parts – side-beams, spring beams and wheel sets, which will remain the seller’s property. The buyer will need to remove them from the cars and deliver them back to the seller.
All cars will be sold as a single lot. Bids are priced at EUR 5 000.
The auction will commence at 11:00 on Dzirnavu Street 147, K-1, in Riga on the 12th of December.
To participate in the auction, contenders will need to pay a security fee and submit their application for participation in the auction to LDz Cargo along with necessary documents.
As previously reported, in 2022 LDz Cargo turnover was EUR 148.444 million, which is 2.8% more when compared to 2021. The company’s profits went down by 27.6% – to EUR 5.104 million, according to information from Firmas.lv.
LDz Cargo is part of the Latvian Railway concern.
