In the recently published top 100 most influential members of the European Parliament the Vice President of the European Parliament Roberts Zīle ranks 16th.
Brussels-based research platform EU Matrix (eumatrix.eu) composed a list of 100 most influential MEPs based on analytics from experts, databases and data analysts, as reported by Zīle’s advisor Kārlis Būmeisters.
Roberts Zīle represents the European Conservatives and Reformists Party. At the same time, he also serves as coordinator of the party’s work in the transport committee and works in two legislative committees.
The second most influential politician from Baltic States is formed Estonian PM Andrus Ansip, who is 44th on the list.
At the top of the list of influence are politicians like President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, leaders of the parliament’s biggest factions Manfred Weber and Iratxe García Pérez, as well as multiple EP vice-presidents, committee leaders and coordinators.
The index looks at MEPs seats, legislative work, political presence, work in committees and voting habits.
