Latvia’s Pasažieru vilciens appoints new board chairman after last one stepped down

From now on the position of the acting board chairman of Pasažieru vilciens (PV) will be Raitis Nešpors, BNN was told by the company.
PV notes that the company’s council approved Nešpors as acting board chairman on Friday, the 8th of March.
PV interim council chairman Artis Grinbergs says the priority for the company now is to introduce new electric trains and preserve passenger transports as predictable and accurate.
He also notes that Nešpors will remain in this post until a new chairman has been selected in a personnel selection procedure. “The procedure will be announced soon,” said Grinbergs.
This means the company’s board will consist of two people – Nešpors and Aldis Daugavvanags.
Nešpors has been a member of the board of PV since April 2021.
BNN previously reported that PV’s previous board chairman Rodžers Jānis Grigulis decided to step down from his post on Thursday, the 7th of March.
