Latvian residents’ heating bills are up significantly

The heating bills of many Latvian residents have increased significantly when compared to the month prior. Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks notes that bills of some households may have even doubled, as reported by lsm.lv with reference to Panorāma news programme.
For example, the difference between January’s and February’s heating bills is EUR 51 for an almost 50 m2 apartment in a non-insulated brick building. The difference for a 58 m2 apartment in a panel house is EUR 52, the media reports.
Most of the residents interviewed by LTV have confirmed they feel heating bills going up.
