Latvian residents able to have a look at vehicles donated to Twitter convoy for Ukrainian troops

One of the off-road vehicles donated to the Twitter convoy initiative to be donated for the needs of the Ukrainian army will be put on display outside the Latvian War Museum, Smilšu Street 20 this week.
As reported by Latvian Ministry of Defence, the off-road vehicle on display was used by Ukrainian Army’s 93rd Mechanised Brigade. Troops affectionately called the vehicle Orlik.
Once the outdoor exhibition is over, the vehicle will be put on displace in Latvian War Museum’s vestibule and will become the museum’s exhibit.
The vehicle was used in Sumy region of Ukraine, where it was used to carry troops to and from the front during the toughest fights in Sumy.

Later in Izyum the vehicle was used to evacuate the wounded, carry food and water, as well as lumber to reinforce positions of the Ukrainian army.

The vehicle met its end in Bakhmut, where it was damaged beyond repair.
A representative of Ukrainian Army’s 93rd Mechanised Brigade said about the vehicle: «Orlik contributed a lot, it evacuated the wounded – thanks to Orlik we were able to evacuate people from hard to reach places. You can see a prop for a machine gun welded to it. There was a machine gun attached to it during offensive or deployment operations to help support our troops moving forward.»
The Ministry of Defence thanked organisers of the Twitter Convoy and the residents who helped supply Ukraine with more than 850 cars and humanitarian aid since the start of the conflict.
The point of the exhibition is illustrating the cruelty of war and remind residents that Ukrainian troops are fighting for the freedom of Latvia and Europe.
