Latvian expert claims Russia is incapable of breaking the front due to exhausted resources

NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence Director Jānis Sārts believes «it is safe to assume that what we see on the front in Ukraine is «the famed Great Russian attack»». «As we all know, there are no accomplishments, no attack directions. At the moment, the objectives of the «great» attack is Bakhmut and Vuhledar,» said Sārts.
According to him, after mobilisation and resource concentration, Russia is no longer able to perform a successful breakthrough of the front.

«This allows for a hopeful view of the future and for Ukraine’s counter-attack,» he stressed.

Referencing US Institute for the Study of War analysts, with the possible taking of Bakhmut, Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine’s eastern territories will have reached its culmination, because they lack the reserves for a breakthrough in this direction.
