A total of 1 208 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours. 991 of the patients were either not vaccinated or have not yet completed their vaccination course. 217 new patients were vaccinated, however.
The latest public data for Estonia reports 156 258 confirmed coronavirus patients. 789 new patients were registered in the past day. 206 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
1 351 people have died from the virus in Estonia so far.
The latest data from Lithuania reports 331 683 confirmed coronavirus cases with an increase 1 806 new cases in the past day. 2 201 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by coronavirus complications has reached 4 991 in Lithuania.
28 442 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 4.2%. So far 2 717 people have died from Covid-19 in Latvia and 145 857 have recovered.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 486.5.
Latvian National Health Service reports 461 Covid-19 patients in hospitals.
