On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 29th and 30th of July, cloudy weather will remain, the sky will clear only at times, as reports the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday, it will rain in many places in the country, in some places heavy, and locally very heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected. Hail will also be observed in some places. There will also be rain on Wednesday and Thursday, as new precipitation zones cross the territory of the country, both heavy and very heavy rains are expected in certain areas.
On Tuesday, the east, southeast wind will blow slowly to moderately, in the middle of the day it will turn from the southwest, west and on the coast in gusts it will strengthen to 15 m/s, but in places during a storm – up to 20 m/s. On Wednesday, the wind will gradually subside. In the night hours, the air will cool down to +14…+19 degrees, but on the night of Tuesday,
it is not ruled out that a tropical night will be recorded at some observation stations
(the air temperature at night is not lower than +20 degrees). During the day, the air temperature will rise to +19…+25 degrees, but in some places in the eastern regions even to +25…+28 degrees.
Also in the second half of the week, the weather in Latvia will remain as rainy as it was previously – at times the clouds will bring more intense rain and also thunderstorms. More gusty wind will be present only during thunderstorms, but the air temperature will still be around +20…+25 degrees.
