Inflation in Eurozone reaches new record peak in June

Annual inflation in Eurozone increased to 8.6% in June when compared to 8.1% in May, according to the flash estimate published by Eurostat.
Annual inflation increases for the eighteenth consecutive month in Eurozone. Since November inflation has showed a near peak each month.
According to this data, the biggest increase when compared to June 2021 is observed for energy prices, which have increased 41.9% (39.1% in May).

Prices of food, alcohol and tobacco products in Eurozone had increased by 8.9% in June when compared to the same month of 2021. The increase observed in May was 7.5%.

Prices of industrial goods not related to energy were 4.3% higher in June when compared to a year ago (4.2% increase in May).
Last month the prices of service in Eurozone were 3.4% higher when compared to a year ago. In May the prices of services increased by 3.5%.
