Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs increased his non-cash savings by 72,779 euros last year, reaching a total of 251,924 euros, and has invested a similar amount in bonds, according to the official asset declaration submitted by the politician for the past year.
According to information available in the LETA archive, at the end of 2024 the President had declared 179,145 euros in non-cash savings.
Rinkēvičs’ savings included 216,472 euros held at Swedbank, 29,927 euros in the Swedbank Open Pension Fund, 4,325 euros in Swedbank Life Insurance (Latvian branch), and 1,200 euros in Revolut.
Last year, Rinkēvičs earned 105,109 euros in his role as President. He also received 210 euros in interest from Swedbank, 200 euros in compensation from the Latvian branch of Compensa Vienna Insurance Group, and 11,400 euros in interest from the State Treasury.
During the year, Rinkēvičs declared two bond purchases totalling 200,000 euros, as well as bond redemptions worth 103,750 euros and 103,350 euros. Following these transactions, by the end of the year he held bonds valued at 300,000 euros.
The declaration also states that Rinkēvičs owns one apartment in Riga and another in Jūrmala.
