A new hotel is planned for construction directly across from the central entrance of Latvia’s Ādaži military base, in Kadaga, according to information from Ādaži Municipality.
The development has been proposed by the company Kadaga Park Estate, with the project designed by SIA House 4 You. The planned location spans 4,445 square meters on Mežaparka Street—opposite a “militarized sculptural composition” featuring an armored vehicle.
The hotel is designed as a four-story building with a maximum height of 15 meters, containing 96 single-bed rooms. It will feature an automated check-in system and include shared common areas, technical rooms, and staff facilities.
According to the developers, the architectural solution is intended to harmonize with the surrounding landscape—primarily a pine forest. Although the site is currently forested and will require clearing for the hotel and parking lot,
the developers pledge to preserve parts of the woodland and enhance the area with landscaping and greenery.
Key project figures include: built-up area: 858 m²; total above-ground floor space: 2,785.5 m².
Currently, LETA has not been able to reach Kadaga Park Estate for more detailed comments about the business model behind the hotel.
Meanwhile, the Ādaži Municipality has decided to submit the construction proposal for public consultation, with residents invited to submit feedback until the 26th of July. A public presentation will be held on the 7th of July at 18:00, both in person at Gaujas Street 33A and online via Zoom.
Kadaga Park Estate was founded in 2022 with a registered capital of 40,000 euros. According to Firmas.lv, the shareholders are SIA BDK (75%) and SIA Estate Capital Investments (25%). BDK is owned by Dainis Babulis (65%), Kārlis Babulis (25%), and Maija Branta (10%). Estate Capital Investments is fully owned by Jekaterina Petskaja. In 2024, the company reported no turnover but a profit of 46,940 euros.
According to LETA archives, another company owned by the Babulis family and Branta has also proposed a multi-apartment housing development in Ādaži Municipality—on Baltkrastu Street 12 near Baltezers and the Gauja Canal.
