On Monday, the sky will be partly cloudy, with occasional short showers during the day. A light to moderate southeast wind will blow, and in some areas, fog may thicken. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +5…+9°C, with slightly cooler conditions in the eastern part of the country, where it maya fall to +3…+4°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the day, a light to moderate south to southwest wind will prevail. In almost all parts of the country, daytime temperatures will rise to +15…+20°C. However, along the coast, where the wind will blow from the sea, the thermometer will not exceed +9…+14°C.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, clouds will bring only occasional light rain, and there will be plenty of sunny intervals in between. In some regions, fog may again thicken overnight and in the morning. Nighttime temperatures will stay above +4°C, while during the day it will feel spring-like, with maximum temperatures reaching +16…+21°C in many places. Once again, it will be cooler along the coast.
Toward the end of the workweek, all regions of Latvia will experience short-term rain, and there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms. The weather will become even warmer, especially on Friday. Nighttime temperatures will range between +8…+13°C. On Thursday, temperatures will reach +19…+22°C across the country, except near the coast. On Good Friday, the sun will warm the air in many places to as high as +23…+25°C.
It is likely that Saturday will be the drier and sunnier day of the Easter weekend, while Easter Sunday may bring more rain—though it will still remain warm.
