On Tuesday, the skies will be cloudy in the east but will clear up in the west, allowing the sun to shine, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology, and Meteorology Center.
Precipitation, mainly snow and sleet, is expected in the central and eastern regions. The minimum air temperature at night will range from -1 to -6°C, and in some places where clouds do not cover the sky, it will be slightly colder. However, along parts of the coast, temperatures will not drop below 0 to +2°C. During the day, the maximum temperature will reach +5 to +9°C in most parts of the country, while in the eastern regions, it will be around +2 to +5°C.
The middle and second half of the workweek will be characterized by variable cloudiness and no significant precipitation. A light to moderate west and southwest wind will blow, shifting to a southwesterly and southerly direction by Thursday. During nighttime hours, temperatures will be mostly negative across the country, with slightly higher temperatures along the coast. However, during the day, as the sun shines, it will feel noticeably warmer, with temperatures rising to +6 to +12°C in many areas.
At the very end of the week, the weather in Latvia will become distinctly spring-like. Warmer air masses will flow in, and over the weekend, the thermometer will approach the +15°C mark. The weather is expected to be dry and sunny.
