On Wednesday, skies will see variable cloud cover with no precipitation expected. Overnight, patches of fog may form in some areas, reducing visibility. A light to moderate northeasterly and easterly wind will blow. Nighttime temperatures will range from -2°C to +3°C, while along the Gulf of Riga coast it will be milder at +3°C to +8°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to +10°C to +13°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Thursday and Friday, skies will remain mostly cloudy with occasional sunny spells. The days will pass without significant rainfall, accompanied by light winds. Fog is expected to form in some western regions overnight into Thursday morning, reducing visibility.
Thursday night temperatures will drop to -1°C to +4°C, while along the western coast of the Gulf of Riga it will stay at +5°C to +10°C. Friday night will be somewhat warmer. During the daytime, air temperatures will reach +9°C to +12°C.
According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, high-pressure influence will gradually weaken over the weekend. On Saturday, rain is expected in some places, and by Sunday precipitation will spread across much of the country. Winds along the coast will also become gusty. Nights will be milder than at the beginning of the week, not falling below +3°C, while daytime temperatures will remain below +14°C.
At the beginning of next week, rain clouds will move across Latvia, bringing precipitation to many areas. Winds will remain gusty. Nighttime temperatures will stay above +4°C, and daytime highs will remain similar to the end of this week.
