From +21°C to frost – early October in Latvia to bring sharp temperature swings · BNN

Weather conditions will remain calm in Latvia at the beginning of October. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, clouds will continue to appear in the sky, although they will clear in many areas and conditions will generally remain dry, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.

On Sunday, clouds will bring light rain to some areas. With light winds prevailing, fog will form overnight and in the mornings.

Overnight temperature fluctuations will depend on the amount of cloud cover. The coldest night will be the night into Friday, when minimum temperatures will range from +7°C to +11°C. In eastern regions, where skies are expected to clear, temperatures will fall to between +2°C and +7°C, with ground frost of 0°C to -1°C expected locally.

During the day, temperatures will continue to rise above +15°C, locally reaching as high as +21°C on Thursday.

At the beginning of next week, new precipitation systems will cross Latvia, bringing rain at some point to almost the entire country, while winds will also become gusty.

Overnight temperatures across most of the country will fall to between +8°C and +13°C, while daytime temperatures will become cooler and will not exceed +12°C to +16°C.
