In the first half of the week, weather conditions in Latvia will be dictated by by anticyclone. This means weather will be calm but cloudy. The sky will clear up only in some areas, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Drizzling rain is expected at times in Latvia. Fog will appear in morning hours on Monday, the 20th of January. Visibility will suffer! Wind speed will be slow and will blow from the south on Tuesday. Air temperature will largely remain between 0° C and +4° C during the day and drop to -1° C… -2° C at night. Roads may become slippery in affected areas.
Meteorologists note that cyclone activity will go up in the second half of the week. This means the volume of precipitation will increase. The wind will gradually become stronger. Weather will remain relatively warm. Air temperature will drop below 0° C only in some areas at night.
