This weekend a slight cyclone will cause clouds to cover the sky. Moments of clear sky are nonetheless expected on the weekend, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Some precipitation will come. Snow and wet snow will appear in eastern parts in Latvia. Fog will form in many parts of the country, impacting visibility. This is why meteorologists urge motorists to be cautious! Wind speed will be slow. On the night to Sunday the wind will blow from the south and south-west. Air temperature will stay at -2° C… +3° C at night, as well as -4° C in eastern parts of the country on Sunday. Daytime air temperature will remain between +1° C and +6° C.
In the first half of next week, a new cyclone will approach Latvia from the north, bringing cloudy weather and precipitation to most of Latvia. Wind speed will go up. On Tuesday wind speed may reach 15-19 m/sec in all of Latvia. Air temperature during the day and at night will remain positive and will rise as far as +8° C at times.
In the middle of the week the sky will be cloudy. Precipitation will calm down slightly. Wind speed will go down again. Air temperature will remain positive, reaching up to +10° C during the day.
