At the beginning and middle of the week, the weather will remain uniform — skies will be mostly cloudy, with light precipitation expected in some places, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Air temperatures will range between –1 and +4°C, meaning rain and drizzle will dominate, though occasional snowflakes may appear locally (mainly at night and in places where temperatures are closer to 0°C).
Friday will pass without significant precipitation, while on Wednesday some light precipitation is expected in central and eastern parts of the country, and on Thursday such precipitation will occur in many areas.
Winds will continue blowing slowly to moderately from the south,
but on Friday will shift to the southeast and east. In many places, dense fog will form during the night and may persist into daylight hours, reducing visibility.
Over the weekend and early next week, precipitation will increase and affect a wider area. Only in some eastern regions will nighttime temperatures fall below zero, while during the day temperatures will not exceed +5 to +7°C.
