On Tuesday, the 2nd of May, weather will be cloudy with moments of clear sky in Latvia. With a colder atmospheric front passing through Latvia’s territory, many areas will experience rainfall. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms, as reported by Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The wind will be slow and will blow from the south. At times the wind may become strong. During the day the wind will gradually draw in from the west and north. Air temperature will reach +13° C… +17° C (+9° C… +14° C along the coast).
On Wednesday night clouds will disperse. More precipitation will come during the day. The sun will also appear from time to time. With slow to medium wind, fog may appear at night and morning hours. Air temperature at night will drop as far as 0° C… -2° C. It may be slightly warmer along the coast and in Latgale. During the day, air temperature will reach +8° C… +12° C.
For the upcoming holiday meteorologists predict some rain.
There is also a possibility of wet snow on Thursday.
The wind will be slow to medium and will blow from the west. At the end of the week it will blow from the north. At night and in morning hours fog will appear in some areas of Latvia. Nights will be cold. Air temperature will drop as far as 0° C… -5° C. Daytime air temperature will not be higher than +5° C… +11° C.
Next week warmer masses of air will flow to the country, causing air temperature to reach +15° C… +20° C.
