In Ukraine, on Monday, March 14, the Ukrainian army has reported on its attacks against the supply chains of Russian occupation forces. Kyiv and Ukrainian journalists have said that the mayors of Ukrainian towns have been kidnapped as the invaders sought to discourage locals of occupied territories from protesting against Russian military presence, Ukrainian public broadcaster Ukrinform and British public broadcaster report.
«The nineteenth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion has begun. Status, position and nature of actions of the defence forces are without significant changes. The Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted devastating blows on the rear infrastructure (field bases and warehouses) in order to disrupt the system of logistical support of the enemy in the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by the occupiers,» the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated.
Ukrainian military leadership claimed that moral and psychological state of the enemy remains low, which leads to the refusal of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces to carry out the orders of the command. It added that on Sunday, March 14, our planes, three helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (information on the type is being clarified) were hit by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Missile and bomb attacks have continued across Ukraine on Sunday and Monday, Ukrinform reports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about missiles increasingly fired at the western Lviv Oblast in his latest address on Instagram.
