Daily Covid cases continue to drop across Baltics

In 24 hours to Friday, March 4, Latvia registered 7,676 new coronavirus infections, while Estonia registered 3,311 and Lithuania confirmed 5,986, marking a decrease in new cases in all three countries.
A total of 7,676 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours to Friday morning. 24 people have died in the Baltic country, 15 of them were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination, while nine were vaccinated.
In Estonia, the latest public data showed that 3,311 new cases were found over the last 24 hours. 647 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Estonian hospitals. 2,276 people have died from the disease in Estonia thus far.

The latest data from Lithuania added 5,986 new cases of coronavirus infection. 1,509 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Lithuanian hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the health complications of the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8,484 people.
Returning to Latvia, 18,103 Covid-19 tests were performed in the country in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests was 42,4%. A total of 5,308 Covid-19 patients have died in Latvia, while 551,818 people have recovered from the disease.
