The coverage of Covid-19 vaccination in education facilities in Latvia has reached 90%, as Minister of Education and Science Anita Muižniece reported on Twitter.
In the pre-school sector Covid-19 vaccination is at 88%, which is one percentage points higher when compared to the week prior.
In the general education sector vaccination coverage is at 91%, which is one percentage point higher than the week prior, whereas in higher education vaccination coverage has not changed and remains at 91%.

Muižniece adds that Covid-19 recovery certificates are held by 5% of kindergarten workers, 3% of school teachers and 1% of higher education academic staff.
The minister thanked all people who decided to be responsible towards themselves and others, as well as towards making the education process safer for children.
