The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8 704 people.
10 054 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 42%. 676 834 people have recovered from Covid-19 infection. A total of 5 479 people in Latvia have died from Covid-19 so far.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 3 988.1.
The National Health Service reports there are currently 1 013 Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. For 444 of those people Covid-19 is the main diagnosis, whereas for the rest it is a side-diagnosis.
