A total of 11 144 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours. Nine people have died, of which five were unvaccinated or hadn’t completed their vaccination course and four were vaccinated.

On Tuesday, 8 February, there were 244 patients suffering from severe Covid-19 infection in hospitals in Estonia, according to data from Health Board of Estonia. In total, there are 406 patients diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection currently in hospitals in Estonia. However, only 244 of them are undergoing treatment for Covid-19 infection specifically. The rest were tested positive for Covid-19, but they are undergoing treatment for other health problems, as reported by Estonian media ERR.
2 075 people have died from the virus in Estonia so far.
The latest data from Lithuania reports 9 844 new cases. 1 619 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
25 110 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests in 44.4%.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 6 301.6.
